Climate change is undoubtedly the biggest challenge of the 21st century, and the effects are already being felt in France and around the world, with an increasing number of climatic disasters. Given the urgency of the situation, educating young people and raising public awareness are key issues for the future.

When they return from their expeditions, the ambassadors involved in this project will relay the information gathered through conferences and exhibitions to raise public awareness.

Above all, this project is a great human and scientific adventure aimed at raising awareness of climate change, and is part of the service provided by a group of stakeholders: teachers, social players, travellers and researchers.

Sponsored by adventurer Nicolas Vanier and Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the project aims to listen to what the earth and its children are asking of us for the future of humankind.

The Cap au Nord project was founded by Philippe Nicolas, a teacher and researcher in environmental education. It is a nationwide educational project under the patronage of the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.

Working semi-autonomously and supervised by a team of professional teachers, researchers and explorers, these young ambassadors, divided into different groups, aim to collect scientific data on 4 themes:

• Volcanology
• Oceanography
• Marine biology
• Glaciology

Adequate Swiss played an active role in the logistical organisation of the project, as well as supplying equipment adapted to the extreme conditions of Greenland.
